Who We Are

Sovereign Private Wealth was founded in 2017 with the vision to help clients be good stewards of all that has been entrusted to them.

It’s an honor to serve.

We are committed to the journey of generosity with our clients. As such, 10% of all revenue is given to ministries that seek to make a positive impact on the world around them. We are so thankful to be able to support them, and we invite you to check out what they do and see how you can get involved!

MINISTRIES WE SUPPORT

AVODA Fund www.avodafund.org

AVODA Fund’s mission is to provide support to organizations in Africa and other developing countries seeking to train and equip competent Christian business leaders. These organizations will educate, mentor, and help launch small to medium-sized local businesses that alleviate poverty and encourage economic growth.

Hope Remains Youth Ranch www.hoperemains.org

Hope Remains’ purpose is to glorify God by changing the world one child, one adult, and one family at a time through the power of Christ utilizing their gentle horses. They use horses in their ministry as a tool to help individuals gain a better understanding of their feelings and begin to heal. The real counselor in their equine ministry sessions is the Holy Spirit who works through their animals and counselors to produce insight and heart change.

Impact Sports International www.impactsportsonline.org

Impact Sports International has been using sports to carry out the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations. They are an interdenominational ministry with a burden to reach those at the “ends of the earth” who have never had the opportunity to hear the Good News for geographical, cultural, or legal reasons.

Piedmont Women’s Center www.piedmontwomenscenter.org

The first and best choice for anyone impacted by an unexpected pregnancy or child loss by providing a pathway of hope through Christ. As a faith-based non-profit, Piedmont Women’s Center exists to educate, equip, and empower the Upstate of South Carolina to choose life and change lives.

Religious Freedom Institute www.religiousfreedominstitute.org

RFI envisions a world that respects religion as an individual and social good, and that protects religious freedom as a fundamental human right, as well as an indispensable driver of democracy, social stability, civil liberty, economic prosperity, equality of women, and the defeat of violent extremism. Religious freedom encompasses the rights of individuals and communities to practice their beliefs in private and to exercise their religious convictions in public, including in civil society, economic enterprise, politics, and law.

Set Free www.setfreealliance.org

Set Free exists to take the love of God to the nations by freeing children from slavery and empowering them to change the future. Set Free believes in a world where all are set free in the name of Christ. Working to accomplish this vision, they work with in-country partners to rescue children, provide clean water, host medical clinics, and plant churches to make disciples of Christ.

Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary www.sebts.edu

Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary trains men and women to surrender their lives to God’s mission in the world and prepare themselves for that mission with biblical, theological, and ministerial education in a vibrant discipling community.

Teleios Ministry www.teleiosministry.org

Teleios Ministry assists indigenous people in developing God-given visions into an authentic, real-life ministry centered in Jesus Christ. They are about investing in people so that all participants in the relationship might become who God created them to be and live out what God created them to do.
Teleios Ministry works to develop mutually beneficial partnerships and networks that will provide direct resources for bridging the gap between vision and reality, as well as between people of different cultures. Spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and financial resources are brought together for the development of an authentic, real-life ministry.

White Horse Missions www.whitehorsemissions.org

White Horse Missions was founded in 2013 as a 501(c)3 non-profit for the purpose of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Central America. Their name comes from the description of Jesus found in Revelation 19:11-16. This image of Christ’s quickly approaching return, riding a white horse, motivates them to share His love with the world as quickly as possible.

We promise.

Our core values represent our promises to you, as our client.

Wreath around a star icon

To serve with excellence.

We’re committed to excellent client service, which we believe is rooted in relationship. Through consistent communication, understanding our clients’ needs, and deepening our knowledge of our craft, we aim to serve at the highest level. This dedication allows us to remain approachable and accessible, while offering balanced guidance that blends tried-and-true with cutting-edge.

Chat bubbles icon

To speak truth in love.

We understand that finances can be a pain point and that decisions about money involve both our hearts and our minds. As your financial advisors, we are committed to accuracy and reliability in our advice, even when a different answer might be easier to hear. Truth in love is spoken here.

Paper with charts and dollar sign icon

To stand with integrity.

We walk our own talk, or as we like to say: We eat our own cooking! When we propose a financial plan to you, you can be confident we are following the same advice in our personal financial story. This integrity is reflected in our family budgets, our pro-life, pro-family investments, and in the ministries we support.

Hand with a plant blooming a dollar sign icon

To practice generosity

We are thankful for the resources entrusted to us, and we hold these gifts in our hands loosely so that we can, in turn, give to others. We are committed to an intentional lifestyle of generosity with our finances and our time, and you will see that reflected in both our public and personal ministries.

Hand holding a puzzle piece icon

To be authentic always.

We can’t help but be anyone but ourselves. This firm is built on our belief that going against the grain is good… especially when it comes to the values that make us who we are. So, you can expect us to live out the same values in the grocery store or on the sidelines as we do in the office.

If a day comes that we stop adding value to your family, you can terminate our services then and there. No contract, no exit fee, no hard feelings.

Allow us to introduce ourselves.

Throughout his career, Bob has discovered that discussing finances can often be a daunting challenge for many individuals seeking peace of mind. His passion lies in guiding people toward a harmonious balance between prudent financial stewardship, akin to the wise ant in Proverbs 6 preparing for winter, and a steadfast trust in God’s provision. Having witnessed firsthand the anxieties surrounding financial security, particularly through his parents’ retirement journey, he empathizes deeply with those concerns. Consequently, he finds immense joy in assisting others in crafting clear, practical financial plans in plain language.

Originating from Atlanta, Georgia, Bob pursued his academic journey at Georgia Tech, earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Furthering his education, he obtained a Master of Divinity and PhD from Southwestern Seminary, allowing him to blend theological insights with economic understanding. His career has encompassed various roles, including pastoral ministry, life coaching, adjunct teaching, counseling, and consulting, each contributing to a diverse skill set and a breadth of experience seldom found in financial advisors. It is through synthesizing these varied roles that he believes he offers clients a unique perspective on financial and life planning.

Bob and his wife Deb reside in the Five Forks area of Simpsonville, SC and have three adult sons and five grandchildren. Beyond his professional pursuits, he enjoys outdoor adventures, whether on the golf course or exploring nature through backpacking. Committed to community service, he has had the privilege to serve on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, including the YMCA and Hospice, and currently serves on his neighborhood’s HOA board. Actively engaged at Brookwood Church and as an adjunct professor at Anderson University, he is dedicated to both spiritual enrichment and academic mentorship.
